Nice park. Mature trees for shade. Good biking around Lake Cadillac. Tasty beach on Lake Mitchell. Road noise is a bit much and the lots are packed tight. Bath house is brand new and nice. Recommend an end lot like we had.

This is a beautiful state park campground and beach. The bathroom facilities were not the most cleanliness but the beach was very nice. There is a channel the connects both of the lakes for boats to travel through and some nice fishing areas. This is a nice park and campground in Cadillac Michigan. Although we didn't camp here, the campground looked clean and there were lots of sites next to the lake channel.

We had a great time here. Restrooms were always super clean. Playground is nice and they have basketball and volleyball courts. Small beach is on the Cadillac side, Mitchell Lake beach is much bigger. We will definitely return!

Stayed at Mitchell this weekend. Pretty much one word...peaceful. Probably half full. One weekend after Labor Day. Very few small children. Very nice site, easy to back in our 35 ft. motorhome. We had nice weather, some sun, low 70s. We will be back.

This was a beautiful experience. Nice campsite with modern bathrooms. It’s nestled in between both lake Cadillac and lake Mitchell. Both are within steps from the campground. Beautiful public beach access, boat docking and fishing spots. Will be back!!

We’ve been camping in Michigan state parks since 1993. They have some good ones and some bad ones. This place ranks near the top of the “good list”. Depending on where your site is, you might hear a little road noise, but that’s fine with me. Helps drown me out. 😏. It’s not that bad. No different than staying at Traverse City. Park staff is great. The entire park is virtually spotless. Very well maintained. Not sure if they do this on normal big check out days like Sunday, but we left on Labor Day after staying 4 nights. I was dreading the line at the dump station, but it was all for nothing. They had staff directing campers to both of their dump stations so the whole process went as smooth as anyone could ask for.

Beautiful state park that is right on a canal between two lakes. A fisher or boaters paradise!

Our short stay has proved to be a very pleasant experience. The park has quite a bit to offer in comparison to other State Parks - a small beach, volleyball, basketball, cornhole at the host site, and kayak rentals. The bathrooms are cleaned numerous times per day instead of once per day. The showers actually have shower heads with water pressure. We have enjoyed our interactions with other campers and the Rangers, too - Cory, Kali, and Ann made excellent impressions on us. They walk around and talk with guests and walk instead of ride to check sites. All in all, this is a must visit State Park!
